Comments:
My apologies. I accidentally posted this on a different article but meant to post it here.

Sorry for posting a comment on an older article. I'm thinking about purchasing a Vostro 3400 and was wondering if you tried the latest 10.10 release of Ubuntu or any other Linux distro on this machine? I'm concerned that I would have to do a little extra to get the wireless card working.

LUC@X: posted it here as it's too long to fit in the comment box: http://vostro3400linux.blogspot.com/2011/04/vostro-3400-lspci-vv.html

chadmccullough: replied to you in the other thread. In a nutshell: it will work out of the box in ubuntu 10.10 (via non-free driver). should work in other distro as well. Newly introduced open source broadcom driver should also work with any recent kernel.

Firstly i appreciate your efforts and thanks for the helpful stuff.dell vostro 1015 drivers
